CLIENT – SCHUYLKILL HAVEN (Alzheimer’s/Dementia/Behavioral)
Schedule:
24/7 Alternating — Full‑Time
Care Needs:
- Stand‑pivot transfers
- Client sleeps in a chair; support with repositioning
- Toileting assistance using a bedside commode
- Cleaning and sanitizing the commode after each use
- Walker and wheelchair support
- Client cannot be left alone at any time
- Sundowning dementia — requires redirection, reassurance, and calm structure
- Light housekeeping
- Meal preparation
- Assistance with bathing (sponge bath)
- Assistance with dressing
- Medication reminders
- Support with PT exercises
- High fall‑risk safety monitoring
- Companionship and engagement
This client benefits from caregivers who bring patience, structure, and a steady, reassuring presence throughout the day and night.
MUST HAVE FOR EMPLOYMENT
To ensure safety, reliability, and high‑quality care, all applicants must meet the following employment requirements:
- Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
- Proof of active auto insurance
- Reliable, personally‑owned vehicle
- Must currently reside in Pennsylvania
- Minimum age of 18
- Ability to pass all required background checks
- Consistent attendance and punctuality
- Ability to safely perform hands‑on personal care and mobility assistance
- Ability to support high‑acuity dementia care, including redirection and safety monitoring
- Professional, respectful communication with clients, families, and office staff
- Ability to follow care plans and maintain client safety at all times
- Commitment to representing Comfort Keepers’ mission of Elevating the Human Spirit in every visit
