• Morning: Two shifts per week
• Evening: Two shifts per week
(Time‑to‑time scheduling as needed)
Transportation: Required
Home Notes: ALS client; female caregiver preferred; animal‑friendly home; care provided in a smoke‑free environment; DME experience required

In this Mehoopany home, a woman living with ALS begins and ends her day relying on a caregiver who brings steadiness, patience, and advanced skill. She cannot use her hands or arms and depends on someone who can support her with dignity, calm communication, and a touch that is slow, gentle, and deeply respectful. As part of the compassionate care we provide throughout Tunkhannock and all surrounding areas, you’ll help her maintain comfort, safety, and connection — the heart of Comfort Keepers and our mission of Elevating the Human Spirit through meaningful, one‑to‑one care.
You’ll support with:
• Sit‑to‑stand transfers and mobility assistance (experience required)
• Toileting assistance and full personal care
• Showering, dressing, brushing hair, brushing teeth
• Feeding support
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Meal preparation and kitchen clean‑up
• Medication reminders
• Companionship and calm, patient communication
• Care in an animal‑friendly, smoke‑free home
• Respectful interaction with her Diavox communication device
• Extremely gentle touch due to high sensitivity
Must‑Have Skills & Qualities
• Experienced with ALS care and advanced transfers
• Patient, emotionally grounded, and gentle
• Comfortable with full personal care and feeding support
• Able to follow slow, steady routines
• Strong communicator who respects assistive speech devices
• Dependable, organized, and deeply compassionate
• Female caregiver preferred
Requirements (Must Have)
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
• Proof of auto insurance
• Reliable vehicle
• Must currently reside in Pennsylvania
• 18 years or older
• Able to pass background screening
• Physically able to assist with transfers, personal care, and household tasks
