🌟 Opportunity 1 – Mobility Assistance, Therapy Support & Household Help
Shift: Morning coverage, 1 shift per week (time‑to‑time, new client)
Employment Type: Part‑time
In Shenandoah, a new client requires compassionate support following a stroke. Assistance is needed with physical, occupational, and speech therapy exercises, walking with a walker and assistive devices, showering, washing hair, and dressing. Preventative incontinence care is required, along with meal preparation, kitchen and bathroom clean‑up, and medication reminders. Occasional transportation to medical appointments may also be needed.
This role is more than assistance — it’s the gift of presence. Each therapy exercise, each safe transfer, each meal prepared is like hanging another ornament on the Christmas tree of their day, filling it with dignity, progress, and festive cheer. By being present, you ensure mornings feel brighter, safer, and filled with comfort during this season of giving.
✅ Requirements
- Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Pass background screening
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and proof of insurance
- Dependable, patient, and professional
- Comfortable assisting with mobility, therapy exercises, personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Female caregiver preferred
- Non‑smoker
- No pets in the home
