Position Types (Dornsife)
  • Day Shifts | ~12 hours total
  • Weekend Overnights | 8:00 PM–6:00 AM

Dornsife Opportunity A — Daytime Total Care & Sit‑to‑Stand Support

Help a bed‑bound adult through dignified, hands‑on care with a focus on safe sit‑to‑stand assistance and routine structure.

What you’ll support:
  • Personal care / ADLs: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting
  • Sit‑to‑stand assistance and gentle mobility support
  • Meal preparation and hydration prompts
  • Light housekeeping and simple organizing
  • Friendly companionship and calm communication
Dornsife Opportunity B — Weekend Overnights With Dementia Experience (8 PM–6 AM)

Provide patient, dementia‑aware support overnight—using redirection, reassurance, and a low‑stimulation approach to reduce agitation and keep routines safe.

What you’ll support:
  • Safety monitoring and redirection techniques
  • Calm companionship and routine cueing
  • Personal care / ADL prompts as needed
  • Medication reminders per the care plan
  • Light reset of shared areas before morning
Must‑Have Skills & Qualities (All Roles)
  • Hands‑on personal care, ADLs, and safe mobility assistance
  • Experience with dementia care (for overnights): redirection, reassurance, de‑escalation
  • Professional communication, dependable follow‑through, dignity‑first care
  • Organized, on time, and comfortable with meal preparation & light housekeeping
Requirements (Must Have)
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
  • Proof of auto insurance
  • Reliable vehicle for transportation
  • Must currently reside in Pennsylvania
  • 18+ and eligible to work in the United States (background screening)
  • Physically able to assist with hands‑on care, transfers, and household tasks
